Powers: Phantom Lady used a raygun that shot blacout rays, and wore goggles to see in the dark. She was a skilled hand-to-hand combatant.
History: Sandra Knight foiled a kidnapping attempt on her senator father, and scientist Abraham Benjamin was impressed with her actions. He gave her a blackout ray and goggles so she could become the mysterywoman Phantom Lady.
(Police Comics (Quality) #21) - Crooks sent Phantom Lady a forged challenge to a duel from Spider Widow, and Phantom Lady was jealous of Wiow s relationship with Raven so she accepted. They sent a similar note to Widow, and the two fenced with Raven as the referee. The crooks ambushed them and shot Raven in the back. Phantom and the Widow realized they d been tricked and took out the crooks. They took Raven to the hospital and argued over who was his girlfriend.
(JSA #42) - <April, 1944> Time traveling Black Barax attacked Washington to draw out Phantom Lady and the Freedom Fighters, and tried to abduct the Human Bomb to use his explosive power to fuel his damaged time-cube. The Freedom Fighters drove Barax back to his own time with the help of Mr. Terrific and time traveling heroes Hawkgirl II and Mr. Terrific II. The grateful Freedom Fighters had Human Bomb power Barax abandoned time-cube so the future heroes could return to their own time.
(DCU Holiday Bash #2) - <December 24, 1944> Phantom Lady and the Justice Society put on the Justice Society Canteen for troops home for the holidays. They helped foil nazi sabateurs that tried to blow up the canteen, thanks to the help of Ensign James Gordon.
(Damage #6) - <1964> Blitzkrieg pursued Phantom Lady through a blizzard because he had plans for her unborn child. A temporal distortion field caused Damage, Steelhawk, and Iron Munro, the father of the unborn child, to arrive in the past. Blitzkrieg fought off Munro and ran off with Phantom Lady. Immediately after Munro and Damage returned to the future.
