Powers: The Sabromians were a warlike race of telepaths that were armed with ray-guns and interstellar spacecrafts that could fire destructive beams of solar energy and energy fields to trap their enemies.

History: (DC Comics Presents #15) - The warlike Sabromians invaded a peace-loving solar system, but were soundly defeated by Superman. They swore vengeance and later sent a ship to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude on Earth. They captured Superman by blocking his solar-derived powers with an energy field, and told him they’d make him watch them burn his Fortress to the ground. Superman’s ally Atom defeated the aliens, but they managed to get off a shot at the Fortress. Superman flew in front of the solar-powered beam, and it restored his powers. The heroes sent the Sabromians to a nearby space prison.
