History: (Hitman #18-20) - Section Eight, led by Sixpack, fought crime in Gotham City until they disbanded. When Sixpack’s friends Hitman, Natt the Hat, Catwoman and Deborah Tiegel were threatened by the demon Mawzir and his mob he decided to get the team back together. Friendly Fire was working as a bartender, and hesitant about returning to crimefighting, reminding Sixpack that he couldn’t control his powers and usually ended up killing or maiming whoever he was working with. Sixpack opened his shirt, saw that he was wearing his superhero costume underneath his work clothes, and told him it was his duty to return to action. Sixpack found Shakes in an alleyway, and he was eager to return to fighting evil. Defenestrator was in Arkham Asylum after a confrontation with police officers where he kept tossing a GCPD officer out a window, bringing him back inside and throwing him off again. An Arkham doctor agreed to sign Defenestrator into Sixpack’s custody. Jean de Baton-Baton was working in the fancy French restaurant Mancer les Chevaux and reminisced with Sixpack about the time they fought Kid Extremity and Suspect-Lad with Batman and Robin. Dogwelder was ready to attack Sixpack, threatening to weld a dog to his face, but much to Sixpack’s relief the maniac finally recognized him. Sixpack found Bueno Excellente in an adult movie theatre and unfortunately passed out while talking to him. With Flemgem back in the fold Section Eight was back at full strength. Mawzir and his mob stormed St. Joe’s, where Hitman and his friends were holed up, forcing them to flee to the church’s crypt. Section Eight made the scene, and despite their outward ridiculousness they held their own against the mobsters, brutalizing them in different ways. Mawzir got tired of the situation and detonated an explosive that blew up the church. Hitman killed Mawzir with the Ace of Winchesters, a mystic gun he got from the Demon Etrigan. Section Eight survived the blast, and even though they were all injured to some degree, with Defenestrator having lost his arm, Sixpack told Hitman they were still in fighting shape. Sixpack was proud of his team, and told them he’d bring them together again the next time evil and injustice needed avenging.
