Powers: Sleez was an empath who fed off the baser emotions of those around him. Sleez could dominate the minds of others, bringing out their most depraved desires and forcing them to act them out. A victim with a strong moral sense could resist Sleez to some degree. When feeding off emotions Sleez gave off energy that bolsters his life force, and that of people in his vicinity.

History: (Action Comics #592, 593)-Sleez was born in the lowest level of the planet Apokolips. He became the servant and counselor of young prince Darkseid.Sleez' cruelty and perversion offended even darkseid, so Darkseid exiled him to Earth. Years later Sleez attacked Big Barda and Superman II, trying to force them to act out his fantasies. Barda's husband Mr. Miracle arrived to save them, and Sleez was forced to flee.

(Adventures of Superman #475)-Sleez targeted Project Cadmus, mentally subduing four Project heads who were once known as the Newsboy Legion. He made them create clones of themselves, and then used Project creation Dubbilex to attack Superman. The newly created clones of the Newsboy Legion attacked Sleez, and in the ensuing battle Sleez was destroyed in an explosion.
