Powers: Torquemada was a proficient sorcerer. As a Green Lantern, Torquemada wielded a power ring capable of doing almost anything he could imagine as long as it was recharged by his emerald power battery once every 24 hours. Examples of its' powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields.

History: (Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps: Secret Files #1) - Torquemada began studying the mystic arts after the death of his family, and became a master of the magic spectrum from black to yellow, using his powers to combat the Black Circle. He was recruited into the GLC,. and made an advisor in magical matters. Much to his frustration he was never called upon for his magical expertise.

(Green Lantern IV #11) - Torquemada was inducted into the reformed GLC. He was in the Oa messhall when several GLC rookies confronted Hal Jordan about his misdeeds when he was Parallax, and his destruction of the previous Corps.

(Green Lantern IV #21) - Torquemada and the Corps began picking up the pieces after the assault on Oa, and Salakk realized that the Sinestro Corps were picking off Lanterns across the universe, leaving over 50 dead. The Lost Lanterns were sent to Qward to rescue Kyle Rayner from the Sinestro Corps, while the rest of the Lanterns were ordered by the Guardians to stay on Oa and prepare for another assault.

(Green Lantern Corps II #14) - The Sinestro Corps took out a sector house in 2263, so Kilowog rallied Torquemada and the other Corps members on Oa, telling them they were going to take the fight to the Sinestro soldiers.

(Green Lantern IV #24) - Torquemada and the GLC arrived on Earth to fend off the Sinestro Corps invasion of the planet. Dozens of Sinestro Corps soldiers were slaughtered.

(Green Lantern IV #25) - The Sinestro Corps War raged on Earth, and while Torquemada, the GLC and an army of superheroes battled the Corps the Anti-Monitor prepared to unleash an anti-matter wave to destroy Earth. With Earth’s destruction, the entire 52 would fall, and he would once again rule all that was. The GLC ruptured the heart of Anti-Monitor’s Warworld, the Sinestro Corps central power battery, and created a shield around Warworld and the Monitor. The ensuing blast nearly destroyed the Anti-Monitor, and he was finished off by Superman-Prime, who betrayed him for having destroyed his home, Earth-Prime. GL Hal Jordan defeated Sinestro in personal combat, and the Sinestro Corps, lacking any leadership, fled Earth. The heroes rejoiced and began rebuilding the damage the Sinestro Corps did.
