(Fraction #6) - Trent intended to put on the full M80 suit and make a spectacle, drawing attention away from his friends from both the police and the M80's creator. When he had the suit assembled, Pete knocked him out, and was the one to throw everyone off his friends trail. Ford was found innocent of murder and released from police custody, but Mike was killed by the friends of Tony D, whom he had viciously attacked. The remaining friends buried the pieces of the M80, realizing possessing the suit would just tempt them to keep committing crimes, and the suit was later discovered and taken away by M80's creators. Trent told Janey about his adventures, and they decided to try rekindling their relationship.

Fraction was part of DC's short-lived Focus line. Although nothing in Fraction couldn't fit into the mainstream DCU, it's questionable whether or not the series is in-continuity.
