Powers: Triton had mental powers that let him cause physical pain in a person that would eventually lead to death. He could control the actions of others through mind control. Triton could not survive out of fresh water for extended periods of time.

History: (Secrets of Haunted House #1) - Triton was discovered in a lake by Tom Leeds and his wife Anne. Anne was afraid that Triton would be put on display if they told anyone about him, so they decided to keep the mutant fish as a pet. Triton used his powers to subtly control the Leeds, but after two years with them a mailman discovered his existence and Triton killed him. Triton then told the Leeds he intended to conquer the world. He forced the Leeds to take him to the ocean and dove in, telling them his reign as ruler of Earth would soon begin. Unfortunately for Triton he forgot that he was spawned in fresh water, and after a few minutes swimming in salt water he perished.
