Powers: Turytt possessed vast superhuman strength and durability. As a Green Lantern, Turytt wielded a power ring capable of doing almost anything he could imagine as long as it was recharged by his emerald power battery once every 24 hours. Examples of its' powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields.

History(Green Lantern IV #11) - After Ke’Haan seemingly died at the hands of Green Lantern Hal Jordan his ring made Turytt his successor. Turytt delivered the news of Ke’Haan’s seeming death to his family, and he promised to avenge him. The Guardians rebuilt the GLC, and Hal was freed from the influence of Parallax and welcomed back. Turytt remembered his vow, and confronted Hal, alomngside a group of GLC rookies that followed him and had heard stories of how Hal destroyed the Corps. Turytt provoked a fight that Guy Gardner exacerbated until Kilowog intervened, giving the rookies seventy demerits and warning them to cool it with Hal.

(Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special #1) - Turytt was on Oa when the planet was assaulted by the Sinestro Corps. After a valiant fight many Green Lanterns were killed, and the Sinestro Corps fled with sciencell prisoners Superboy Prime and Cyborg Superman as their newest recruits.

(Green Lantern IV #24) - Turytt and the GLC arrived on Earth to fend off the Sinestro Corps invasion of the planet. Dozens of Sinestro Corps soldiers were slaughtered.

(Green Lantern IV #25) - The Sinestro Corps War raged on Earth, and while Turytt, the GLC and an army of superheroes battled the Corps the Anti-Monitor prepared to unleash an anti-matter wave to destroy Earth. With Earth’s destruction, the entire 52 would fall, and he would once again rule all that was. The GLC ruptured the heart of Anti-Monitor’s Warworld, the Sinestro Corps central power battery, and created a shield around Warworld and the Monitor. The ensuing blast nearly destroyed the Anti-Monitor, and he was finished off by Superman-Prime, who betrayed him for having destroyed his home, Earth-Prime. GL Hal Jordan defeated Sinestro in personal combat, and the Sinestro Corps, lacking any leadership, fled Earth. The heroes rejoiced and began rebuilding the damage the Sinestro Corps did.

Turytt received a profile in Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps: Secret Files #1.

Turytt sure does look like Doomsday, doesn't he? Any speculations?
