History: 

(Strange Adventures II #1, 2) - Captain Comet was forced to stay low in his subterranean base the Hole after Tigorr got him on the bad side of the politically connected Mortician. Tyrone told him that was what he got for associating with a feline, and wondered why someone new wanted Comet dead every week. Comet's old ally Eye visited the Hole to tell him that Max had no luck persuading Mortician to back off, but that she'd arranged off-planet transportation. Tyrone asked if they could go to Earth, like Comet always promised they would. Comet had little love for his "mudball" homeworld, but Tyrone was excited to see the planet his DNA came from, so he agreed, and also told Eye she could come with them. Just as they arrived at the terminal Max contacted them and told them to come to Comet's apartment, where they found the bloody remains of Mortician and his thugs. After Max left Lord Synnar, reincorporated into the physical plane in Weird's body, appeared. Synarr told him that the events leading to his recorporation created circumstances that threatened the universe, and he'd killed Mortician because he needed Comet's help.
