History: .New Adventures of Superboy #20) - The Ulmarans,. Led by Grand Lurom, spent ages mounting expeditions to far-flung worlds and collecting living wonders of the universe. The Ulmarans used monva-radiation to pacify the minds of their wonders, and make them forget their past so they’d never want to leave. Visitors from other worlds made Ulmara a popular tourist attraction. The Ulmarans brought Superboy to their planet and had beautiful Polva indoctrinate him into becoming the star attraction of their planet. He acted as a performer until Povla and an alien from Baltur gave him another dose of radiation and commanded he destroy the other living wonders and then destroy the planet. The Baltur were jealous of the Ulmarans and sick of their smug superiority and Povla was bitter at being underpaid. They demonstrated what they wanted by destroying a model of Ulmara, and this reminded Superboy of Krypton’s destruction, enabling him to shake off the radiation and apprehend the aliens. Grand Lurom, leader of Ulmara, agreed to stop dosing his wonders with momva-radiation, and would give them the choice of staying on or returning home. Superboy assured him he had a lovely planet and that some wonders would choose to stay, but he was returning home.
