Examples of its' powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields.

History: (Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps: Secret Files #1) - Vath Sarn was a Rannian soldier in the Rann-Thanagar War, and was the sole survivor of his platoon after a Thanagarian attack. he was prepared to fight to the death, but a power ring snatched him away and Sarn was recruited into the Green Lantern Corps.

(Green Lantern Corps II #14, 15) - The Sinestro Corps took out a sector house in 2263, so Kilowog rallied Sarn and the other Corps members on Oa, telling them they were going to take the fight to the Sinestro soldiers. The sentient planet Sinestro Corps soldier Ranx attacked Mogo, knowing the Corps would not long survive without Mogo to direct power rings to worthy recipients and to mentally train new recruits. Killowog and the Lanterns under his command, including Sarn arrived and rallied behind Mogo, but  Sinestro Corps drill sergeant Arkillo beat them back with his soldiers. Despite the GLC’s efforts Ranx ripped a hole in Mogo’s surface and sent in the Children of the White Lobe, the Sinestro Corps latest allies, so they could explode and destroy the power ring at Mogo’s core. Killowog sent corpsmen Yat, Kol, Stel and Chthatis off to Ranx to destroy the planet’s brain.

(Green Lantern Corps II #16) - Fearing the prophecy of the Blackest Night the Guardians rewrote the Book of Oa, allowing lethal force against the Sinestro Corps. Vath Sarn relished being able to operate like a proper soldier again, and began mowing down Sinestro Corps soldiers. The Sinestro Corps suffered heavy losses on Ranx and Oa, and Sodam yat destroyed Ranx. The rest of the GLC disabled the Children of the White Lobe, and the Sinestro Corps fled, turning their attention to Earth.

(Green Lantern IV #24, Green Lantern Corps IV #17) - Vath and the GLC arrived on Earth to fend off the Sinestro Corps invasion of the planet. Isamot and Varth Sarn were assigned to Lubbock, texas, where Sinestro Corps soldiers were igniting oil rigs, and the corpsmen happuily mowed down their enemies. They were recalled to NYC, where Sinestro had arrived with the Anti-Monitor, who planned on collapsing the multiverse by gaining control of Earth.

(Green Lantern IV #25) - The Sinestro Corps War raged on Earth, and while Vath Sarn, the GLC and an army of superheroes battled the Corps the Anti-Monitor prepared to unleash an anti-matter wave to destroy Earth. With Earth’s destruction, the entire 52 would fall, and he would once again rule all that was. The GLC ruptured the heart of Anti-Monitor’s Warworld, the Sinestro Corps central power battery, and created a shield around Warworld and the Monitor. The ensuing blast nearly destroyed the Anti-Monitor, and he was finished off by Superman-Prime, who betrayed him for having destroyed his home, Earth-Prime. GL Hal Jordan defeated Sinestro in personal combat, and the Sinestro Corps, lacking any leadership, fled Earth. The heroes rejoiced and began rebuilding the damage the Sinestro Corps did.
