History: (DMZ #12 (fb, BTS), 25) - Wilson was a low level Triad who had little hopes of moving up the ranks. His wife left him, and his children thought they were smarter than him. One day he was called by Shiela Chang, who had a son by him, and he refused to help her, telling her the strong survived, and said his son could meet him when he was 12, old enough to work for the Triad.  The Free States declared independence from the United Sates and claimed territory from Canada to New Jersey. The US army occupied Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island to combat them, with Manhattan made a DMZ and relocation of its residents attempted. With the outbreak of war Wilson gunned down his immediate superiors, earning a rep. Rising to become a feared crimeboss he convinced the residents of Chinatown to obey him to keep their neighborhood safe. The US military tried to kill him with C-4, but he survived thanks to a protective vest, and he became an indestructible legend. The US and the FSA both staid clear of Chinatown.

(DMZ #7-9) - Matty Roth was an embedded reporters in the DMZ, and he and Wilson became fast friends even though Wilson didn't think he was too bright. The US military left Matty in charge of negotiating the release of fellow journalist Viktor Ferguson from the FSA. Matty suspected he was bugged, and Wilson, always a little  paranoid, was all too happy to take apart the phone and laptop the military gave him. Wilson liked Matty's work, and told him he remembered when more journalists were like Matty, not scared of death to get the truth. He saw Matty as an icon of the disenfranchised DMZ. The US government killed Viktor as an excuse to blame the FSA and invade the DMZ, and Matty sought Wilson's council. Wilson knew that the US would try to kill Matty to hush up the story, so he had to do something about that. Matty sought help from the FSA against Wilson's advice.

(DMZ #13 (BTS)) - Wilson set Matty up with a secure Chinatown apartment, with his "grandsons" guarding Matty.

(DMZ #20) - Matty was covering the military trial of the perpetrators of the Day 204 Massacre, where 198 DMZ unarmed civilians were gunned down by the US military. Matty had dinner with Wilson and his grandsons, and asked him what he remembered about that day. Wilson said he didn't care because this war was not his war. The only things he cared about were surviving and making sure he'd come out on top in Manhattan when the war ended.

(DMZ #31) - The US and FSA declared a ceasefire, and agreed to elections for a provisional government. The US assumed their envoy would continue controlling the DMZ, but uptown community leader Parco Delgado claimed to be a real voice for the DMZ, and Matty threw his support for him. Matty's mother wanted a word with him, and when Mrs. Roth met Matty in the DMZ he introduced her to Zee and Wilson. He'd told Wilson he hadn't talked to her since the beginning of the war, and he expressed his disapproval. Wilson impressed his mother by opening up her favorite Chinese restaurant on Mott that hadn't been active since before the war.

(DMZ #33, 34) - Liberty News sent Matty a new phone, and Wilson removed the obvious trackers, keeping them for his own use. Polling opened and Wilson and his men from Chinatown took to the streets. Delgado was voted in as interim governor by a landslide.

(DMZ #37, 38) - Delgado ordered the US, the FSa and Trustwell out of the city, but Chinatown, which hadn't voted at all, still decided to stay insular. There were rumors that a Chinatown bank had a gold stockpile, and Delgado, needing funding, asked Matty to meet with Wilson and find the truth of the matter. Wilson said most people were smart enough to not ask about the Chinatown gold, and he was willing to deal with Matty, but not Parco. He said Matty had no idea what he did for Chinatown, and asked Matty if he ever asked himself how Chinatown always had fresh food. He had gold stashed around the city, but knowing where that gold was put people in danger. Armed men broke into Wilson's restaurant, and Wilson's men quickly disarmed them. Wilson assumed they were Parco's Plab B and said that's exactly why he wouldn't deal with him. He also wasn't interested in a gang war, and allowed Matty and the men to take hundreds of gold bricks back with them. Matty asked if that wouldn't hurt Chinatown's finances, and he replied that Matty had no idea how much gold he had, but he'd better tell Parco that was the last of it. Matty and Parco's men came under fire on the way back to Parco's green zone, but were extracted by the FSA, who were now acting as Parco's soldiers.

(DMZ #40) - Wilson looked over the city as Parco's government consolidated its' control over the DMZ.

(DMZ #50) - Wilson invited Matty to see his famous kitchen, spread across three city blocks, cooking fresh Chinese Morning Glory. He told Matty about the greenhouses he had, and the hydroponic stations located in the basements of Chinatown.

(DMZ #56) - The US was preparing to retake the DMZ, and arranged a meeting with Wilson in exchange for a vintage copter (Wilson was an enthusiast) and 20 million in gold. The government agent said the world supported the US invasion, and demanded that Wilson empty out Chinatown, or he'd be risking the lives of his people. Wilson remembered his younger days, when he walked tall and felt indestructible, and his pride made him reject the offer, burning the copter and dumping the gold in the river. Word got out to his people, and they started evacuating anyway. Wilson was hurt at first, but realized that as protector of Chinatown he had no right to ask his people to sacrifice their lives for his pride. He directed everyone to the Brooklyn Bridge, to seek amnesty and safety with the US. Wilson prepared a feast for himself, and sent his bodyguards home, except Woodrow, who had no family, and refused to leave Wilson's side. Woodrow said Wilson was Chinatown, but Wilson thought of himself as just the caretaker, and knew Chinatown would outlive him no matter what the US did. Wilson enjoyed his meal as the US began their bombings to retake the DMZ and bombs fell around him.

(DMZ #69) - The war ended, and Manhattan was redistricted, with Chinatown the Second Nation of the so-called Five Nations of New York. All of chinatown turned out for Wilson's funeral, and to celebrate his life. One of Wilson's close aides wanted Matty to know wilson considered him a friend, and talked about him often. Zee told Matty he needed some time to process and grieve.
