Powers: The Zandrians were physically weak and incapable of violence against sentients. They commanded starfleets armed with transporter beams and destructive light particle beams. Their greatest weapon were the time pyramid that caused time-fluxes. When they were destroyed they would rewrite a planet's history and transform a planet's population into unimaginative beings with no capacity for violence.

History: (Action Comics #554) - The Zandrians were incapable of violence but craved conquest, so for millennia they vanquished countless worlds using the time pyramids. Superman had to destroy Earth's time pyramids to foil a plot by Vandal Savage, but thus rewrote Earth's history and erased himself from existence. The Zandrians flew to Earth, caused massive property damage and demanded humanity surrender to them. Young comic creators Joey and Jerry created the concept of a superhero they named Superman, undoing the work of the time pyramids and bringing Superman back into existence. Superman handily defeated the Zandrians and demanded they free all the worlds under their control.
