cheaper than therapy


The wood splits like a headache.

Small tornadoes fashioned from
splinters, tiny
hurricanes of odium
spew forth then
settle gently
on green tissue paper earth.

The axe man,
after,
his vigor exhausted
from his mountainous pile’s
gratuitous bulk,
goes inside
to make up with his wife.
