Durbin's Day in the Sun (con't)

by Arden Davidson (C) 1998

"Well, you've never tried it",
the bored sun replied.
"I'm always up here
and I'm always outside."

"Well, what can I do?"
questioned Durbin, unsure.
"I'm anxious to help
but I don't know a cure."

"I do!", the sun yelled
with a brightening face.
"I'll come down there and then
you take my place!"

"That sounds like a good idea",
Durbin said.
"But how? There's no way",
he said, scratching his head.
