Pritzy's Broken Candle (con't)
by Arden Davidson (C) 1998
Miglet left in a flash,
and Pritzy was upset.
"They're all just jealous
of my candle, I bet.
"After all, the flame gives off
a lusterous light.
Just because something's different
doesn't mean it's not right."
And right then Pritzy knew
that his flame was just fine.
"No one else in the world
has a candle like mine.
"So I'll cherish my candle
the way that it is."
And he did - in fact, now he's real proud
that it's his.
Now he knows those who laugh
when you make your own mark
are the ones who will spend
their whole lives in the dark.
