***SPECIAL VALENTINE'S DAY ONE*** Why do we use the heart as a symbol of our love? Seriously! Why do we? the heart is a gortesque looking organ that pumps blood to the other parts of the body. but the reason is not because of how it looks, the reason that we use the heart as a symbol of love is because we can't live without the heart, just like we can't live a full life without love, not just love as in friends, family, and girlfriend's and boyfriend's but love as in the love that God had for us to send His only Son to Calvary to die for us. for that is why we truly live, because He died for us, so we could live.
1. This is what i don't understand, people who call themselves Christians who won't leave there pew, but they criticize all the christian rock bands, and rap artists, for "conforming to the world", well in my oppinion, We aren't the ones be "like" the world. The world is clean cut and nice looking, yet most Christian punks and Skaters are considered outcasts from the Main Society and also, from the Skater and Punk Clicks, so in essence are outcasts of the outcast. The word Christian means "Christ Like" I seem to misinterpret what this means is what people tell me, I look at it as Being LIKE HIM, and He wasn't excepted by the church leaders of that day, and I have friends that are punks and skaters(christian) and "normal" people as friends, and i have dfound a lot that the lyrics are nearly identical and the only thing that is differnt between southern gospel and rap-core, is the beat. Critics of Hard-core Christian music say that The beat is what draws people to secular music, and they pick up the lyrics unknowingly, then the supporters say, that they are using that mentality to have it work where the people listening pick up the Godly lyrics instead, but the critics say that it doesn't work that way, in my oppinion they are saying that they think that sin is more powerful than our God, just think about that, if you want to hear more of my oppinion, just e-mial me:)
2. Your relationship with Jesus Christ is just that, a relationship, I am a pastor's kid, and i luv the denomination that i am a member of, but it is not about what denomination, it is not about religion, it is about a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ, and that is that. A lot of times WE get involved in tradition,(not dissin it) and we turn the focus away from God, when he wants to do something special because we will be thrown off of schedule, so I pray today that you would not me "Religous" but HAVE a RELATIONSHIP, with Jesus.
3. I don't understand why they happen, but we are not to understand all things that happne. We must trust in the Lord, and remember that all things work together for the greater good. That incidents like Columbine on April 20, 1999, and people Like Cassie, whose funeral led to the salvation of many, and who encouraged so many, including me, with her stand for her Saviour. What kind of person does it take to pull the trigger? Someone with no regard for human life, who doesn't care, or doesn't know to care. The reason this type of thing happens isn't because of television violence, it isn't because of broken homes, or violent video games, those things aren't that good, but as Reese Roper of Five Iron Frenzy said, Mankind is dark and without God people do stuff like this. We have to realize that mankind IS dark! But we ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD! As Christians we have the responsibility to be a light and Cassie was one on that day. I hold the students of Columbine up everyday, but especially today, because yesterday, someone murdered two students from Columbine High, at a Subway. What kind of person could make this community suffer more? This tells me one thing about Littleton, Colorado; that it is one of the STRONGEST communities in the world, because God has promised us in His Word that He will not put more on us than we can bear. I lift up the schools that have had shootings in prayer every day, but just as much as those I lift up the ones who haven't had anything happen, that God will work in those schools, because if we are warriors of light, we don't have to worry about the darkness as much because Satan will still come against you, but you will be able to stand strong with others. Don't get me wrong, when you start living for God, it gets harder, but He is there when you need Him. 4. I am a crazy sorta guy, I believe in having fun. I believe that Christians have the most, and hey, if ya don't agree with me, tell me what ya think is better not being a christian, if ya were gonna say drugs, ha! i got ya beat!! the holy spirit is much better than drugs, it gets ya higher than any drug, and no hang over!! only thing is after that you are never the same, you are always better!! 5. Judging people is something that all the clicks do, even if you are a punk or skater(i fall into the punk category), you still judge others by saying hey look at the preps! or if you are a prep, you say look at the freaks! judging people is not for us to do! Man Judges on the outer appearence, which is relavent in my life, i am a pastors kid, and the people at my church don't care for my style all the time, and so i have to put up with a lot of lip, plus i live in arkansas where the style is something other than punk... anyway, God is our Judge, He judges you on the contents of your heart! not how you dress, or your tatoos, or piercings, or your hiarcut! if your eyes are on God you can't see anyone's hair cut or style! just love everyone like the Bible says to. My Lord Jesus Loved all, His enimies, and His friends! Even though He knew that we would fail, which we all do in our daily walks with him, He died on the cross for us. If you don't know Christ as your personal Lord and Savior it is easy! jsut ask him to come in! and he will! just pray "Lord Jesus I know that I have sinned, but I also know that you came and died on the cross for me, but not just died, you rose from the dead on the third day, and i believe in you, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins. Help me thru my every day life to live for you. In Jesus Name Amen."
