Awaken, Revive, Cleanse
The world says everything is going well,
While thousands die daily going to Hell.
All their years spent in despair,
Now they are held in Satan's Lair.
Why is it they die so lost?
It's because to few truly carry their cross.
Holy God, revive your chosen few,
So we can do what we are called to do.
Cleanse our hands and hearts with your fire,
Until your favor is what we desire.
On our hands is the blood of our young,
A song of sorrow seems the only one sung.
Our babies and children we kill and kill,
I wonder how horrid it makes you feel.
So Lord we cry out that you meet this need,
Our starving nation you would feed.
We must stand united tired of spiritual lack,
And Take our nation and our world back.
A Warrior's Praise
God you are awesome in this place,
Oh how I long to see your face.
Lord God your might is great,
So why do I worry about my fate?
How can I doubt your great power?
When your love is so evident this hour?
Lord I shout out to you this day,
That you would guide me to go the right way.
Mend this broken vessel so it can be used,
My greatest fear is to be refused.
Why? I do not know,
Because grace and love is what you show.
So Lord tonight I cry, "Use Me!"
I will be whatever you want me to be.
My Time Machine
I built myself a time machine
And went back 2000 years.
To see His face on Calvary,
His blood, his sweat and tears.
I was a witness at His trial
As Pilot tried to please us.
I stood by as the crowd all cried
"We want Him, crucify Jesus!"
I walked on with the group
And marched up the huge hill.
Only a few believed that on this day
It'd be the Son of God they'd kill.
He walked bravely to the tree,
And stood with wide open eyes.
People spit and cursed His name,
While others knelt and cried.
His body broken from being beat
And naked without shame
My mouth opened wide, and they held the hammer high
And from Him a loud scream came.
He'd been beaten beyond recognition,
And hung between two thieves.
Just so anyone could come with Him
If they'd pick up their cross and believe.
I ran back to my time machine,
I could take no more.
I started up the engine,
And slammed the huge door.
I crashed back in the present,
And quickly hit my knees.
I started to cry, as to myself I died.
And screamed, "God, forgive me, please!"
No one now has the chance
To witness this event.
But I had to stand by and let Him die
So I'd be able to repent.
I built myself a time machine
And went back 2000 years.
To see His face on Calvary
His blood, His sweat, and tears.

The Christian's Battle Cry
Jesus is the way for every man,
Jesus will always hold your hand.
Through anything that you face,
There is His ever warm embrace.
Where He longs to console his hurting child,
No matter What the trial.
He will never shun,
For Jesus loves everyone.
Jesus knows my every care,
And He will always be there.
Jesus is everything to me,
Because He died on that tree.
It was on Mount Calvary,
That my Savior died for me.
On that horrid day the world cried,
For their Savior, Jesus, had died.
The Devil thought that he had won,
That He had beat God's only Son.
But then came day three,
Of His proposed victory.
Jesus rose,
And the Devil froze.
I pray you stand strong,
Through all battles, short or long.
Even if the Christian be sick or lame,
God's love is still the same.
Even if we would change.
This I pray, that you will remember true,
Whenever Satan comes against you,
Remind Him of what Jesus did on that tree,
Especially on day three.
For that is the battle cry,
When you are fighting for the Lord most high.
The Meaning of Life
What is it I am living for?
Do I settle when I could have more?
What is the secret to this life?
Why is there so much strife?
Why is there so much violence and hate?
When the say that everything is going great?
Why do we always seem to miss the mark?
Its because Mankind is so dark.
This world has dark and blinded eyes,
Why do we give into its false disguise?
They search for meaning in things that don't fulfil,
While the church watches and stand still.
How to reach them they think that they know,
by preaching and judging, saying we told you so.
But that isn't how it is to be,
That is why Jesus died on that tree.
Not to say that I am better than you,
But to say I will help you through.
What are Christians called to do?
We are called to like Jesus to you.
No matter what that means to say,
to me and many it means saying yes everyday.
Yes to what, some might say,
Yes to God, meaning I will go your way.
No matter what the cost I may have to pay.
Yes is what I will say.
Every day war is fought between darkness and light,
Each day you must choose for whom to fight.
Our war is against Satan and the forces of Hell,
Where there is pain and horror no description can tell.
The victor of the war is already known,
For in His Glory it is shown.
We have to stand and fight for our life,
So we won’t suffer carnage and strife.
Our Savior Jesus his honor to defend,
We must fight this Heavenly battle until the end.
Always say I love you,
To the ones you really do.
For you never know when,
You won’t see them again.
We are to love everyone,
Even if we are loved by no one.
But always remember that God loves you,
No matter what you say of do.
No matter who you become, or what at that,
You will always be loved by one named Matt.
But even more than by me,
Is the one that died on that tree.
Whose love is what I yearn,
yet can never earn.
Thegreatest love,
Which comes from above.
So today let me say to you,
No matter what you say or do,
I will always love you.
But there is an even greater love,
From your Lord above,
That is with you everyday,
this love which you cannot stray.
I don’t always treat them good,
Even though I knowI should.
I hope that you can forgive,
Whatever wrong it is I did.
No matter how bad I become,
Let God’s love through you overcome.
And never forget that we all slip up,
For God’s grace is there for all of us.
And even if it seems,
That I forget my dreams.
Remember that my God above,
Keeps me in his great arms of love.
No matter what you say or do,
He will always love you.
For He never forsakes,
No matter how many mistakes.
When at home or away,
Always stay and never stray.
Remember to read God’s word,
Because He hears your every word.
For He is the friend,
That stays ‘til the end.
On that tree He had to go,
For it was the only way His love to show.
All you have to do is believe,
And the greatest gift you will receive.
Eternal life,
Instead of strife.
Jesus is the perfect friend,
For He’ll be there ‘til the very end.
