Un-Broken

This is the sound of my heart breaking,
as the wind blows across my face...
This is the sound of my soul aching,
as the one I love is now longer here to embrace...
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

What happened to the love I thought I once knew,
a love that seemed to be so strong...
What happened to the I will and I do,
As I look back on everything that went so wrong...
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

I thought I finally knew love that day,
It seems so long ago since the first day we met...
I looked forward to those long walks in May,
Now my heart says move on and try to forget...
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

As I stand here and see al the things around me,
and think of how you could have been the one....
I'm actually glad you left and set me free,
Because there are so many things i've yet done...
