Past dealings with white women have left Colt Thunder wary, and a beautiful English duchess is definitely beyond his reach. Flame-haired Jocelyn Fleming, however, decides she most definitely wants Colt's touch, as well as his abilities as a guide. When Colt sets an outrageous price for his services and she meets it, Jocelyn finds that she's getting more than she bargained for, as she begins falling in love with the aloof half-breed. On their trip to Wyoming, Jocelyn finds much more to Colt than his useful body, and Colt discovers that Jocelyn fires his blood like no woman ever has. Colt saves Jocelyn again and again from her adversary, but finds he cannot save himself from falling in love with her, finally realizing that Jocelyn's love is all the salvation he needs.
