The 2003 Piatt Conference will be held from June 22nd to the 28th in Richmond, Virginia at the Virginia Commonwealth University. All rooms would be single rooms with each room having it's own bathroom and will cost roughly $17/day and must be paid the day of arrival.
Please RSVP to:

Here is what Robin needs from you:
Name and number attending
Address, phone number, and email for each person
$20 for each bed per night--if you request a single room you will need to
pay for both beds ($40). 50% refundable for cancellations after 1 May.
Please also let me know if you need your beds un-bunked. We will hire
student labor to take care of that.
If you need linens (two flat sheets, one towel and one washcloth) the fee
will be $7 for the week. Please note that none of the beds have
pillows--you will have to bring your own. Blankets are available upon
request.
Dinner Cruise $40 per person
Pass to 5 Richmond sites $15
10 Full fare bus tickets in Richmond $10
10 Senior fare bus tickets (must show medicare card to driver) $5
Reservations and FULL PAYMENT for these things will be needed by May 1, 2003 Everything is refundable until May 1, but after that the room is only 50% refundable and the cruise is totally not refundable. *IF* we have met our minimum number by April 1st, I will allow two extra weeks for adding the extra people if necessary. I can tell you that the number of beds we can reserve is limited to 50 so to be guaranteed a bed you need to get your deposit in fairly quickly. I would hate to have to turn anyone down.
A new issue has presented itself (as it always does) and that is parking. The lot immediately adjacent to the residence hall is a per-hour charge and passes are not available--that means you will have to pay each time you move your car. HOWEVER, I have made arrangements with a pharmacy about a block away to park in reserved space, in and out as much as you want, for a flat fee of $25 for the week. This is a SIGNIFICANT savings. In the parking garage at the school you can expect to pay at least $15 PER DAY. You will be able to park briefly outside the residence hall for loading and unloading only. Your registration packet will include a parking tag for the pharmacy if you purchase this parking.
So...if you pay your registration I will send you a reciept and then the day you arrive there will be a packet with your key and some other things (the Richmond Convention Center has even provided us with maps!) as well as your dinner, admission, and transportation tickets if ordered.
Cost breakdown as follows:
Housing Sunday night-Friday night (parital week is available) $120
($240 for a single room or couple)
Linen $7
Parking $25 per car
Cruise $40 per person
Richmond 5 Site Pass $15
10 Bus tickets $10 ($5 for seniors)
All funds are US dollars. I've set up a US dollar account so we don't have to worry about conversions.
I can take checks or money orders via mail and PayPal/credit card orders online (email me for info on this until the website is ready).
