Benjamin A and Aurelia Adella Hoory Pyeatt

Benjamin A (or F) Pyeatt was born July 1, 1872 (some researchers have 1873) in Rio Vista, Johnson County, Texas to John H and Sara A Maxwell Pyeatt and died December 3, 1943 in Memphis, Texas. He married December 11, 1895, (probably in Johnson County, Texas) Aurelia Adella Hoory who was born February 1876 in Texas. Benjamin and Aurelia are buried in the Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, Hall County, Texas.

This family was enumerated #290/302 pg 164b. Living at #288 was Benjamin's mother, Sarah Pyeatt, with one of his brothers, Edward Pyeatt and his family. At #289 was his brother, James F Pyeatt, and his family. On the next page at #297 was his brother, Finis Ewing Pyeatt. Neighbors were ?Chapin, Sarrah J Pyeatt, Ben J Pyeatt, Bryant Horry, John Sanders, Robert Gatewood, Harry Gatewood, William Bailey, and Joe Lacewell.

By the 1910 census Ben and family appeared as follows in Precinct 2, Johnson County, Texas:

This family was enumerated #7/8 pg 177. Next door at #8 was Ben's brother, James F Pyeatt. On the next pg at #13/14 was his nephew, Lenard E Pyeatt (indexed as James E Pyeatt) and on page 197a #369/376 was his nephew, John Solomon Pyeatt. His brother, Edward Pyeatt, was on page 198 at #406/412. Neighbors were Carl ?Jernigan, J Edwards, Jack Grant, Thomas Sligh, Joe Stiger, Jim F Pyeatt, and ?Treas ?Wad.
