Elias Baldwin and Elizabeth Piatt

Elizabeth Piatt was born c1773 and was baptised in Six Mile Run Church June 18, 1773, in Somerset County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Abraham and Annabelle Andrew Piatt and died before April 19, 1808. She married after January 23, 1797, in Somerset County, New Jersey, to Elias Baldwin.

The known child of Elias and Elizabeth:

Elizabeth received from her father's estate in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, an interest of 41, 2, 11-2/12 (the same as the rest of her siblings, except the eldest Jacob, he got a double portion.

Elizabeth died before April 19, 1808, in Butler County, Ohio, when Elias Baldwin "applied for the guardianship of the estate, both real and personal, of Abraham Baldwin, a Minor of the age of seven years on the eleventh day of September last past, son of Elias Baldwin of the County of Butler aforesaid by his late wife Elizabeth Piatt one of the Daughters and heirs of Abraham Piatt late of Northumberland County in the State of Pennsylvania, deceased".

After Elizabeth's death, Elias married Mary Crooks and they had eleven or twelve children. One of these children was a daughter, Rachel Baldwin. Abraham Baldwin (son of Elias and Elizabeth) signed a marriage consent for Rachel Baldwin to marry Robert Cowan in Montgomery County, Ohio. He lists her as his sister (actual relationship would be half-sister).
