David F and Cornelia Pyatt Ellis
Cornelia Pyatt was born ?June of 1856 in North Carolina (probably Cherokee County) to Joseph A and Jane Allen Pyatt. She married c1874 Rev. David Franklin Ellis probably in Wright County, Missouri. Frank was born in March of 1849 in North Carolina.
Frank and Cornelia had the following known children:

- Ruth Ellis b: Feb 1884 Mo (Wright Co)(could be the daughter married to C E Amick)
- Charles F. Ellis b: Apr 1886 MO (probably Wright Co) (lived Springfield, Greene Co, MO, in 1959)
- Roy Ellis b: Mar 1888 (doctor; lived in Springfield, Greene Co, MO, in 1959)
- ?Vercil Ellis (daughter) b: Nov 1893 MO (probably Wright Co) (could be daughter married to C E Amick)
- ? Ellis m: C. E. Amick (lived in Marshfield, MO, in 1959)(could be Ruth or Vercil)
I have nine children listed. Cornelia had either eight or nine children (the 1900 was difficult to read and is the one that looks like 9). I'm pretty sure that the wife of C E Amick that lived in Marshfield in 1959 was one of the daughters found previously on the census - Ruth or Vercil.
Cornelia's parents had moved from Cherokee County, North Carolina, to Wright County, Missouri, c1857/1858. She appeared with them on the 1860 and 1870 census.
Frank and Cornelia appeared in Gasconade Township, Wright County, Missouri, on the 1880 census as follows:

- Ellis, Gertrude age 5 born MO / wf / single / father/mother born NC

- Ellis, Synthia A age 6/12 born Oct MO / wf / single / father/mother born NC
This family was enumerated #16/16 pg 2 Dist 142 (Ancestry.com image 2/46). Also in Gasconade Township was her uncle, William C Pyatt. Her parents lived in Boone Township with her grandmother, Cynthia Fox Pyatt. Also in Boone Township was her uncle, John S Pyatt.
Jane was living with her son on the 1900 census of Boone Township, Wright County, Missouri, as follows:

This family was enumerated #188/188 pg 150B (Ancestry.com image 20/36). Their are 7 children at home. Cornelia's answer to # of children looks like 9, but, could be 8 (see 1910 below). So, Leander age 23 should be alive and living elsewhere. Cornelia's mother and several siblings were still in Boone Township, Wright County, Missouri, at this time. It appears that her uncle, William C Pyatt, had also moved to Boone Township, or, the township lines were moved between the 1880 and 1900 census.
By the 1910 census the family appeared as follows in Gasconade Township, Wright County, Missouri:

- Ellis, Roy (son) age 22 born MO / wm / single / teaching / Public School / father/mother born NC
- Ellis, ?Ferval/Veral (daughter) age 16 born MO / wf / single / father/mother born NC
This family was enumerated #72/72 sheet 5A (Ancestry.com image 6/16). Since she claims that all of her children are still living - where were they?
