Ganum and Ora A Lassen McDowell
Ganum McDowell was born July 1, 1872 in Ripley
County, Missouri to George W and Lucy Johnson McDowell. He was recorded as buried in an unmarked grave at Macedonia Cemetery in Ripley County according to a cemetery inscription listing notation. However, he is actually buried in the Myrtle Cemetery in Rock Island, Texas. Ganum was married to Ora Augusta Lassen December 1, 1893, in Ripley County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Emil and (Rebecca) Jane Lassen and was born in May 1870 in Missouri. Her sister, Amy Jane Lassen was married to Ganum's uncle, Ganum McDowell who IS buried at Macedonia Cemetery. Ora is also buried in the Myrtle Cemetery, Rock Island, Texas, as is Ganum's twin sister, Hannah and Ora's mother, Rebecca Jane Lassen.

Oscar Elvis and William Otis are buried in the Macedonia Cemetery, Ripley County, Missouri.
Rock Island, Texas, is just east of the small town of Sheridan, Texas, which is about 100 miles West of Houston on the way to San Antonio, Texas.
