Henderson M and Emmeline Forsythe Pyeatt
Henderson Marion Pyeatt was born August 26, 1833 to Peter and Mary "Polly" Miller Pyeatt and died before 1873. On December 6, 1857, Washington Co, AR, Henderson married to Emmeline Forsythe who was born July 11, 1836 and died 1862. Emmeline must have been previously married as she was 'Emmaline Marrs' on the marriage record in Washington County.
Henderson and Emmeline had one child (known to me):
- Della Catherine Pyeatt b: 14 Nov 1861 d: 11 Jun 1937 m: 11 Jun 1882 Joseph Lafayette Burkett b: 3 Apr 1853 d: 27 Oct 1920
- George Newton Burkett b: 5 Aug 1884 d: 26 Nov 1963 m: 7 Jan 1906 Clementine Elizabeth Vann b: 16 Feb 1892 d: 10 Apr 1971
Henderson was a private in Co E, Hardy's Regiment (Infantry) in the Confederate army. Futher records may show dates and rank advancement if any.
I'm not sure why I did not find Henderson and Emmeline on the 1860 census of Washington County, Arkansas. They were both dead by the 1870 census. I expected to find Della Catherine Pyeatt living with relatives on the 1870 census. However, I was not successful.
