Manervia A Pyeatt Harris Murphy Daugherty

Manervia A Pyeatt was born c1854 in St. Francois County, Missouri, to William and Angelica Smith Pyeatt and died in 1922 in Christian County, Missouri.

Manervia married first in Stone County, Missouri, on December 14, 1873, Joshua Marion Harris who was born in Missouri in Boone County, Missouri, c1854 to Joshua Randolph Harris and Jane McKee Porter. Marion died c1888 of appendicitis.

Manervia and Joshua had the following children known to us:

The birth record for Marion Franklin Harris in Lawrence County, Missouri, says that his parents are J M Harris age 30 born Boone Co Mo and Minerva A Pyatt age 31 born St Francois Co Mo

The family appeared as follows on the 1880 census of Stone County, Missouri, in Washington Township:

This family was enumerated #111/113 pg 29A (Ancestry.com image 13/25)). Living nearby Also in Washington Township was Manervia's mother, 'Angeline', living with Manervia's brother, William Pyeatt (written 'Pyet'). I did not look for Joshua's parents or family.

According to Maybry Benson, "Marion's father died of appendicitus when he was 4; his mother remarried & the step father did not like the 2 Harris sons, so they were pretty much on their own. Brother Knute and 2 half sisters."

This second husband for Manervia was Milford Murphy whom she married March 5, 1892, in Christian County, Missouri. This marriage was not a long one as Manervia had married third to Thomas Daugherty by January 3, 1893, in Christian County, Missouri. The step-father that didn't like the Harris boys could have been either of these two. However, I would say that most likely it was Thomas Daugherty who was born in 1869.

Manervia and Thomas had the following known children:
