Joseph C and Docie Belle ? Pyatt

Joseph C Pyatt was born in January of 1868 to William Calton Pyatt and Elizabeth M Alford in Wright County, Missouri. He married c1891 Docie Belle ? probably in Wright County, Missouri. Belle was born in Missouri in April of 1870.

Joseph and Belle had the following known children:

Joseph and Belle had lost a child in 1898 who is buried with other Pyatt family members in the Mt Zion Cemetery, Wright County, Missouri. Since they had a child born in April of 1898, I would assume that this was a less-than full term pregnancy that terminated early.

On the 1900 census, Joseph and Belle appeared as follows in Union Township, Wright County, Missouri:

This family was enumerated #55/57 pg 248B (Ancestry.com image 6/26). Living in Boone Township were his parents and his brothers, William Thomas Pyatt and John R Pyatt. Joseph had two other siblings who were living at this time - but, I have not found where they are in 1900.

They were still in Union Township on the 1910 census as follows:

This family was enumerated #18/18 sheet 1B (Ancestry.com image 2/27). In Boone Township were Joseph's brothers, William T Pyatt and John Pyatt; his nephew, William A Pyatt (William T's son); and his first cousin, Thomas B Pyatt.

They were in Hart Township, Wright County, Missouri, on the 1920 census as follows:

This family enumerated #304/310 pg 163A 129/148/16/46 24 Jan 1920. Listed after this family were all the inmates of the alms (poor) house. Hartville City was marked out at the top of the page. Also enumerated at 129/148/1/9 appears to be their daughter, Vesta, enumerated with her sister who has just had a baby:

Still living in Boone Township were William T Pyatt and his children, Walter Pyatt and Minnie Bunn as well as his brothers, Thomas B Pyatt, John R Pyatt and William J Pyatt.

I have been unable to locate any of Joseph or Belle's family on the 1930 census - including searches made using first name and year of birth only. Their daughter, Essa Sanders, was still in Hart Township on this census.
