John W and Margaret J ? Pyatt
John W Pyatt was born c1848 Virginia (probably Nicholas County) to Elijah H and Mary ? Pyatt and died February 1, 1923, in Nicholas County, West Virginia. He is the first known child of Elijah and his first wife. It would appear that they experienced difficulty in having children as John did not have another sibling, William F Pyatt, until he was almost 10 years old. I do not have a date of death for Elijah's mother, however, his father married second in 1873 to Sarah J Schoonover. While I do not have the 1870 census abstracts from Nicholas County, it is safe to assume that Elijah probably no longer lived at home when his father remarried. John did receive at least four more step-siblings from this marriage.
John married in Summersville, Nicholas County, West Virginia, Margaret J ? who was born 1849 in West Virginia.
