Jacob and family were enumerated on the 1850 census in Fairfield Township, Butler County, Ohio, as follows:

• Piatt, Jacob age 41 born OH / male
• Piatt, Rachel age 36 born OH / female
• Piatt, Ann M age 13 born OH / female / att school
• Piatt, William S age 6 born OH / male
• Piatt, John A age 3 born OH / male

This family was enumerated #839/867 31st July 1850 pg 270 (Ancestry image 115/145). Also in Fairfield Township was Jacob's brother, John H Piatt.

I do not have Jacob on the 1860 or 1870 census.

By the 1880 census of Lafayette, Allen County, Indiana, the widower, Jacob, was living with his widowed sister, Sarah Ann Piatt Kyle Walker, as follows:

• Walker, Sarah age 65 born OH / WWF / Keeping House / father born PA/mother born NJ
• Piatt, Jacob (brother) age 70 born OH / WWM / Boarding / father born PA/mother born NJ This was taken from familysearch.org; page 436C. I did not view the actual entry. Also living in Allen County was Willard Piatt age 28 with a wife and child. Was this a grandson of Jacob's?
