Jacob Piatt was born c1810-1815 in Rockingham County, Virginia to John and Rebecca Piatt. After their oldest children were born, John and Rebecca (b: 1785) Piatt removed their family to Montgomery County, Ohio, where they appeared before the 1820 census. Jacob's father died in 1830. Jacob Piatt married in 1833 in Montgomery County, Ohio, to Elizabeth Woliver / Wolober / Wolinez (marriage register shows "Wolaber") who was born c1817 in Tennessee or Pennsylvania.

In the same township was the following family who have a 12-year-old Piatt boy in their household. I suspect this is a son of Jacob and Elizabeth:

Jacob could be the Jacob Pyatt age 50 born Ohio in Randolph Township, Montgomery County, on the 1860 census living with the Lambert family. I do not know why he would have not lived with his family at that time.

This family was enumerated #84/86. Neighbors were Abraham and Martha Puterbach (Puterbaugh) and William and Margaret Griffith. Martha and Margaret are their daughters. While the ages and place of birth for Jacob and Elizabeth are not exactly consistent with their 1850 answers, the fact that Lavinia is listed as 'helps Mother' on the occupation establishes that they are the same Jacob and Elizabeth from 1850 Montgomery County, Ohio.
Does Elizabeth appear in German Township, Darke County, Ohio, on the 1880 census with the Abraham and Martha A Puterbaugh family? I believe Abraham may be the brother of Elizabeth's daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Puterbaugh Piatt. Also, it appears that Martha Puterbaugh is Elizabeth's daughter. They were next door neighbors on the previous census. However, Elizabeth's age should be 63 and born TN:
