James Pyatt Jr's son, William, is a confusing story. His first wife died while there were several young children. Those young children apparently were sent to live with others. William then married a widow, Hannah Ferrel Dixon, who had three children of her own. Only the Dixon children and the children William had with Hannah lived with him afterward as far as can be determined. To complicate matters, the birth date for William and Ella [Precious] (Mary) Keene Piatt's son, John, is "about 1855." He is also listed as John H. This John married a Jane and was living with her in Green District, Wetzel Co WV in 1880 with their son Harry aged 1 month.
