King and Elizabeth Bellis Pyatt

King Pyatt was born January 19, 1817, in Upper Boars Head Tavern Croton, New Jersey to James and Sarah King Piatt. He died October 5, 1895, when a fire swept through his tavern which was also his home.

King was married first to Elizabeth Bellis and second on October 25, 1845, to Elizabeth Laing.

Children of King and Elizabeth Laing: King and family appeared as follows on the 1850 census of Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey: This family was enumerated #390/421 pg 130 (Ancestry.com image 55/61). Living in nearby Raritan Township were King's parents and some of his siblings.

By the 1860 census of Lochtown P O, Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey they were as follows:

They were enumerated #504/559 pg (Ancestry.com image 68/71). King's parents were still living in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County.

King's oldest daughter (the only known one with first wife, Elizabeth Bellis) was living with the Andrew D and Annie Larison family in West Amwell Township. She was 'Sarah E Pyatt' age 40 born NJ / SWF / Teacher / father/mother born NJ. King's son, Albert and family were in Raritan Township as follows:
