King Pyatt was born January 19, 1817, in Upper Boars Head Tavern Croton, New Jersey to James and Sarah King Piatt. He died October 5, 1895, when a fire swept through his tavern which was also his home.
King was married first to Elizabeth Bellis and second on October 25, 1845, to Elizabeth Laing.

King's oldest daughter (the only known one with first wife, Elizabeth Bellis) was living with the Andrew D and Annie Larison family in West Amwell Township. She was 'Sarah E Pyatt' age 40 born NJ / SWF / Teacher / father/mother born NJ.
King's son, Albert and family were in Raritan Township as follows:
