William C and Sally Anderson Piatt

He married Sally Anderson who was born c1843 in Kentucky.

William and Sallie (presumably) had the following known children:

• Mamie/Nannie Piatt b: c1870 KY
• William Piatt b: c1877 KY
• Russell Piatt b: May 1880 Jefferson Co, KY

The spacing of these children leaves room for either a first marriage or the death or a child or pregnancy loss problems between 1870 and 1877.

I do not find William on the 1870 census of Kentucky -though Mamie/Nannie was said to be born in Kentucky in that year. He might be the William age 34 in Christian County, Kentucky, for which I do not have an abstract.

William C and Sallie were living in Jefferson County, Kentucky, during the 1880 federal census:

• Piatt, William C age 42 born KY
• Piatt, Sally (wife) age 37 born KY
• Piatt, Mamie/Nanie (daughter) age 10 born KY
• Piatt, Willie (son) age 3 born KY
• Piatt, Russell (son) age 6/30? born KY (this family enumerated in district 124 sheet 31 line 13)
