Elizabeth has quite a bit of information on Charles Edwin Piatt and the descending line. There is someone else who responded who has Piatt's in the Sonoma and Mendocino, CA area. Perhaps they have some direct connections. All of Liz's family, on both sides, moved to Healdsburg, CA about 1880-1885 though they first came to CA in the 1850s.
