During January-August 2001 industrial output has formed 29 331.9 mln.soms. Industrial product physical volume index has formed 106.3 percent excluding enterprises engaged with “Kumtor” gold mining – 94.7 percent.
Harvesting of agriculture cultures is being continued in the Republic. As
of the beginning of September white straw and grain-legume crops were harvested
from 416 thsd.hectares area or it is 62.5 percent to its harvesting area.
Agricultural, hunting and forestry gross output during last eight months
amounted to 23 513.4 mln.soms and it is 23.5 percent more than that of similar
period of the last year.
Gross construction output for January-August 2001 amounted to 3 752.7
mln.soms or 107.3 percent to 2000 January-August level.
Transportation by all types of freight and traffic during 2001
January-August have increased to 0.5 percent comparing with similar period of
the last year and passenger transportation – to 2.1 percent.
During January-July of 2001 the state budget of the Republic was executed
with proficit in 892.2 mln.soms, that has made 2.3 percent to GDP.
According to on-line data balance profit of 1 696.3 mln.soms was reaches
by the Republic enterprises (without agricultural and small enterprises) during
January-July 2001 and it is 30.3 percent more than in January-June 2001.
External trade turnover of goods (according to cargo customs
declarations) amounted to 522.7 mln.soms at current prices during January-July
2001. Export has grown less to 6.4 percent during January-July 2001 comparing
with January-July 2000, and import – 16 percent. Trade balance surplus formed
in positive amount of 28.5 mln. USD. Import cover by export reaches to 111.5
percent whereas in January-July 2000 – 100.1 percent.
Official monthly average USD exchange rate was 47.84 soms that it is 0.4
percent more comparing with July 2001.
Inflation in consumer sector has increased to 1.5 percent comparing with
December 2000 (4.7 percent –2000 similar period), and it has decreased to 2.4
percent in August comparing with July of current year.
Average nominal wage in January-July of this year amounted to 1 312.6
soms and increased to 25.6 percent comparing with similar period of the last
year.
Epidemiological situation in the republic was characterized by the
increasing of pertussis, brucellosis, viral hepatits, tuberculosis and gonorrhea
morbidity during January-July of the current year by the Ministry of Hearth Care
data.
During January-August, 2001, 27.6 thsd. crimes were registered that it is
1.6 percent more than that of similar period of the last year, of which 69
percent were grievous crimes.
