Hey everyone, you found my second page. This page, I have decided, will now be used for information about my discipleship group.
VISION: Warm Exposure to a Small Group of Believers + 2 Nonbelievers = Multiplication of the Small Group.
Currently, there is no set time or place for the meetings. We will have weekly meetings. The way I am accustomed to doing these meetings is that we have a devotion each week. I would like to seek God and get a message for the group each week as much as possible. Sometimes, in order to have fun, we'll do something as a group like go bowling, go to Shakey's or do something besides a devotion. It could be playing basketball, lifting weights, maybe go to a movie. I should pray that God would allow me to desire this more within my group, but it is important that between the members of the group that there be a bond. Accountability, God show us how, is something that is important as well. Intimacy between Christians is something that is simply just AWESOME!!! I enjoy sharing my struggles and my heart with a close Christian friend. One thing, it helps me to realize that I am not the only one going through this struggle. Earlier this summer, I really felt like what I wanted to do was to pour my heart into some younger christians teaching them the things I learned. A process called discipleship. This past year I didn't do that well as a leader. Sure, we "multiplied" as a group, but what did I accomplish in teaching others. Not as much as I could have. I saw where I could have been better. Being a leader in Chi Alpha is something different for me now. I guess it seemed like a place of prestige, but not it is a opportunity to fullfill the Great Commission. Its important that we teach others who are weaker principles in living for God and being in a relationship with him.
