"AlliGatorMan"
Some men, during their life, have honors given in the form of a label
It's called a "nic name" and it's up to us to determine whether "fact or fable"
This name is given from a kid's point of view...
For l heard him called this by more than a few
When pride swells in a child, and eyes form tears
It's nice to look back and remember those years
When the other kids say, did he get one today
You answer, yup a 16 footer, then we all go play
To know it's my "Dad" they're all talking about
Makes a son proud and ready to shout
Many boys my age, had hero's of a sort
From TV cowboys or men who played a sport
But these heroes didn't know my name, or recognize my face
But the Alligator man lived at my place
I've wondered over time, how many people remember his feat
Or tasted the tail of alligator meat
Memories stand tall in a son with such pride
When echoes are heard, he has his father's stride
Many sons have dads as heroes, and they all have passed the test
But which one can claim the "AlliGatorMan", you see, I've got the best.
