An Easter Dedication

I cast my soul upon the waters where I know I can not walk

But l know the one who can thru the whispers of heavenly talk

He came to me as a gift from my father some 2000 years ago

And with his birth a brand new promise to all he did bestow

His life was like no other, its perfection can't come close to being matched

Even in death he rose again, keeping my soul from being snatched

The cross he bared, the thorns he wore, the path he had to take

Saved you and I from Satan's fire but made the heavens tremble and shake

For three days in death was all it took, to roll away my sins

His blood has cleansed my old life, now another one just begins

Who but God could show the world this miracle of pure love

No one upon this earth for grace can only be given from him above

So pause this Easter season to remember why as sinners we are so clean

It's thru Jesus Christ our Lord who absorbed our sins in death like

nothing ever seen

He walks among the living thru all believers, death no longer has its sting

His bride is the church of this world and my faith a part of his ring

My heart belongs to Jesus and my soul the Holy Ghost

And my eternal home awaits me, thru him that l love most

Thru death and resurrection l believe someday my soul will soar

Up to those pearly gates of glory, l'll knock on heaven's door

So forget that Easter Bunny, that rabbit's candy has no taste

For without the Holy Spirit of Christ in our heart, our life on earth's

a waste.
