Paradise Wild

Corinne Barrows had one passion - gambling - and she wanted nothing more than to gain her inheritance and risk all she liked in a no-limit card game. Jared Burkett had one passion as well - the ruination of the man who broke his mother's heart and ruined his family. After Corinne loses a wager to Jared on a turn of the cards, she must forfeit herself to him as the spoils of victory, burning with hatred for his trickery and ill-use of her. But her loss of innocence spurns him to ask for her hand in marriage, which she grudgingly agrees to after he makes it clear that it would be purely a business arrangement - each one getting the freedom that they desired - after one wedding night spent together. Jared's caresses awaken Corinne's passion that night, only to be turned to bitter anger the next day at his abandonment and public humiliation of her. She follows him to his Hawaiian home to set in motion a plan of revenge, which works too well, back-firing and giving her husband control of her. Their tempers cause them to hurt each other again and again, until they finally admit their feelings and find a paradise of love.
