OCTOBER 2000
Isn't this Fall weather great? I just love it.
We have this tree in our front yard that is still pretty green. But, there is one patch of Fall colored leaves on it in about a 2 foot circle. I'm just waiting for them to fall off. That will be our first pile to rake for the new season. I don't mind raking, it's just that we can't seem to find the time until we have about 12 bags full to rake. Then, it's an all day job. You'd think with as many children as we have, it wouldn't take that long. But you wouldn't believe how many blisters appear that need to be tended to immediately or better yet...this is a job that requires at least 3 trips to the bathroom or to get a drink a water. Of course the trips can't be made at the same time. They must be made separately and last for approximately 10 minutes or longer. But what I find amazing is, this sort of job, when completed, gives children an unbelievable amount of energy to, let's say... ride bikes, go to Wal Mart, go to the movies..........
I have not yet been able to figure out when this sudden boost of energy becomes non-existent. But what I do know, for a fact, is that my husband and I lost that sudden boost a long time ago!
Happy Raking!
