HOME EDUCATED AND RIGHTEOUSLY TRAINED
SEPTEMBER 1999
Welcome to a new school year. If your house is anything like mine, then you're in for an adventure. But to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have it any other way! I enjoy a challenge!
If you have not yet turned in your Membership form, please hurry and get it in to me. I would like to get the Directory printed up as soon as possible.
Also, prayerfully consider which committee you would like to sign up for. We are going to have a great year of homeschooling, but we need each and every one of you to take part in something.
I spent a lot of time this summer studying catalogs and trying to find the "right" subjects for my children. I was so afraid that they were going to miss something in their education.
Whether this is your first year or 10th year, try to remember not to worry so much. God will work it out for you if you turn it over to Him.
As children bring their broken toys With tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God Because He was my friend. But then, instead of leaving Him In peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help With ways that were my own. At last I snatched them back and cried, "How can you be so slow?" "My child," He said, "what could I do? You never did let go." Unknown Author

DON'T FORGET........
Grandparents Day is September 12th
And speaking of thinking of someone on a special day.....
Have you ever thought about a Kids Day? We need to let our
children know that we appreciate them too. Who else do we know that would make sure they got to spend that little bit of extra time with us in the midnight hour? Whether it be the privilege of reading them a story or watching them drink a glass of water one sip at a time. Then they make sure we get up plenty early in the morning to start our day. And what would we do with ourselves all day without those children? We would never know how to put together a bicycle, build a Lego robot, bandage a skinned knee, or even know how to make the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich in history! So put at least one day aside each year and let them know how much you appreciate them.
