Soul Reaver Review

The Good

This is game is super challenging! It's a Puzzle-Action-Adventure game. A wide combination, what could be better?! Much like Eidos's Lara Croft's Tomb Raider, the famous Block Puzzles are in this, one catch though, you can flip'em on their side, upside down, etc., which makes it loads of mind twisting and loads of fun! On the Dreamcast, it looks awesome, the PSX version is very close, but DC's is more smoother in Graphics(Gameplay and cinimatic) and the camara angles(When you rotate it) is much more sharp and smooth than PSX's. Many other quests, such as getting Spells/Glyphs, getting magic and health upgrades, and a bunch of other stuff. Many areas to explore, to kill the damned vampires of Nosgoth. Challenging bosses and levels as well! Plot is incredible! Very much like all the Resident Evil games in terms of puzzles go, but harder, confusing, and fun than the RE's I say!

The Bad

Well, this game takes a whole bunch of memorey...It takes 99 Blocks of memorey on a VMU, which takes nearly one third of the VMU's memorey. It's a puzzle game, so I advise you not to get info about it online or whereever until you've beaten at least once, or it'll spoil it for you, and you'll breeze right through it in a couple of hours...Which ruins the fun! But, besides the memorey issue, this game is awesome!

All in All

This game is loads of fun full of puzzles, vampire killing, soul consuming fun! If you liked games such as Resident Evil and Tomb Raider, you'll love this one, though a little violent and bloody, it's an awesome game!
