A.B.A.T.E. of Arkansas District 9 January 4, 2000 Minutes

Minutes from the January Meeting:

Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm.

Roll called, minutes read, and Treasurer's report given.

Discused and approved a $15/year (purely optional) subscription for those who would like to continue to receive a "local" monthly newsletter similar to the ones former SWARR members were getting every month.

Discussed and approved new ABATE District 9 logo design.

Discussed possibly changing monthly meeting nights to the first Monday of the month instead of Tuesday. We will stay with Tuesday.

Discussed upcoming state ABATE board meeting in Ward on Sunday, the 9th.

Announced tentative year 2000 dates for ABATE District 9 events, to be submitted to state office for inclusion in CMA and ABATE state calendars. Those dates are as follow:

Saturday, April 8th - ABATE District 9 Poker/Lunch Run

Saturday, May 20th - ABATE District 9/Magnolia Blossom Festival Bike Show

Weekend of September 15th-17th - ABATE District 9 End-of-Summer Rally

Saturday, November 18th - ABATE District 9 Toy Run

Held nominations for officer elections to be held in February, with the following names being placed into nomination:

President: James Whitefield

Vice President: Bubba Whittemore, Jay Brown, Bill Merritt

Secretary/Newsletter Editor: Keith DuPriest

Treasurer: Waylon Brown, Mike Loe

Road Captain/Sergeant-At-Arms: Jay Brown, Joe Bunner

Asst. Road Captian: Joe Bunner, Tom Manning, Patrick Peace, Thomas Green

Public Relations/Art Design (2): Russell Rowe, Dale Cox, Waylon Brown

Historian: Bill Norris

State Board delegates (3 needed: 2, plus 1 alternate): Jay Brown, Joe Bunner, Thomas Green

Accepted applications for membership from Johnny Morris, David & Shirley Smart, Bill Norris, Gary McAdams, & Steve Evans.
