The warlords, warriors, chief servants, and spokesmen for the Isliklids are called the Düméghal. The name is usually translated as either 'The Doomed of the Ghal' or 'The Dooms of the Ghal,' and is generally believed to be a reference to the origins of the Islikds' warlords amongst the Khaghals and Urghals of the Lake Hazrat region. The ranks of the Düméghal currently also include the descendants of Samarappans, Ramorites, Theleans, Ceraics, Metics, and Djar Maelites who chose to serve the Isliklids as warriors rather than as slaves and thralls — even by rumor Califans and others from the Unknown World. No Isliklid has been seen in public since they ensconced themselves in the Dain Éduins; while they are reported to travel the Empire in secret, their public affiars, even at the Imperial Court, are conducted entirely by the Düméghal.
