He underwent chemotherapy (A set of strong drugs that kill cancer cells, and, unfortunately, sometimes normal cells, too). He also underwent a stem-cell bone marrow-transplant (Meaning that they used his own preharvested bone marrow, and not that of a donor.) He was cancer free for 4 years. *Determined to make a difference, he started writing songs in the hospital. He later recorded them and made a CD called "Make A Difference." *He co-wrote a book with his grandmother, Jane McSporran, called "There Are Survivors: The Michael Cuccione Story." *He played Charlie in an episode of Baywatch and became close friends with David Haseloff. The episode was dedicated to another boy named Charlie, who had known David Haselhoff, but had passed away. *He played Jason "Q.T." McKnight in the hit boy-band parody, 2Ge+her. Sadly, he died of lung failure on January 13, 2001. His lungs were only working 60% after his chemo, and he succumbed to pneumonia. He will be missed. Back to In Memory Of Michael Cuccione
