Physical Description: All elven folk share very similar features. Compared to humans and most other races their features are all extremely fair. There is no such thing as an elf who is ugly or disfigured. Their nature seems to prevent any form of physical defect or imperfection from taking hold of their bodies. The noticeable differences range in skin, hair, and eye tone. The southern wood elves have a slightly darker pigment to their skintone than their extremely pale northern cousins. The dark elves skin ranges from a coal black to a dark grey. The hair of the souther wood elves is always a brownish or black, whereas the high elves are either silver, bronze or gold. The dark elves hair is always a stark white from birth till death. Wood elves eyes are a variety of browns and greens, the dark elves eyes are usually yellow or red, and the high elves either a bright golden green or silver blue. The high elves are by far the tallest of all three brances, standing a little over 6 feet tall, wood elves heights are usually very close to short humans, and dark elves average around a normal human height.
Culture/Soceity: The High elves are fairly reclusive in their hidden fortresses in the chill and quiet northern woods. They see themselves as a protectorate of balance and order, and rarely interact with other races. They worship silently in their reclusive temples, and study in their great libraries. The wood elves take more direct action in the world, feeling that evil and darkness are always pressing to tip the scales, and the only way to prevent this is to actively work against it. They are mighty warriors and have many fortress tree cities spread throughout the south. They love greatly song, dance, and are the most jovial of all the elven races. Many a time passengers through the woods of the south can hear faint sounds of jubialation echoing through the trees. The wood elves fight constantly to hold back the growing forces of lizardmen, orcs, goblins, and greedy humans who would take their lands. They do, however, maintain good relationships with the men of Maxima after many years of war in the two races first encounters with one another.
