Physical Description:Ogres are by far the largest of the humanoid races, but also the smallest of the barbaric powers in Ashr'alan. The ogres ability to procreate is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the goblins and kobolds. Ogres are huge monstrosities. They stand on average around 12 feet tall. In appearence they resemble large humans, only with tight skin ranging from a stoney grey to rusty orange red. Their bodies are also covered by signature markings, which many mistake for tatooes. These markings can look like lightening bolts streaking down the ogres bald heads and hairless bodies, to tiger stripes, to rune shaped symbols. Ogres only have two figners and one thumb as well as three toes, giving them another distinctive appearence. Their eye coloration will either be a luminescent green or purple.
Culture/Society:The ogres, along with their troll cousins, are said to be creations of the great Mages of the Heazeron. Nothing is known of the Heazeron people, their powers, or why they would create the ogres and trolls. But whatever the reason, the ogres hold it as religious tradition that they were the first race of Ashr'alan, created in the image of their masters (whom they ogres hold to be gods). The ogres have never held control over massive amounts of land. They have always maintained tighty control over areas in the Badlands south of qantor, as well as strategic mountain fortresses in the Rizam mountains. Another reason for this is perhaps that due to their inability to procreate rapidly, they are only able to maintain forces to control what they have always had. In ogre society there are basically two tiers. Those ogres whose skin is red are called the Kentorok, all others are the Bartorak. The Kentorok are seen as the spiritual and political leaders of Ogre society. They are trained in the most powerful magical arts the Ogres posses as well as indoctrinated in the great religion of the Heazeron. The Bartorak are not looked down upon in any way since they make up the majority of ogre society. They however only wish to strive to please the Kentorok, seeing them as the visible finger of their gods in the world today. The ogres possess some of the most potent magic in the world, and it is only by the grace of their limited numbers that they do not unleash these powers to take back much of the land they have slowly lost over time.
