Knights of Kindness

In the days of old, Dragons roamed the Earth.

Leaving death and destruction behind in their path.

Brave Knights armed with lances and swords,

Became the first of the Dragonslayers.

The Knights prevailed and slew the Dragons.

Until the world was freed from their terror.

The people celebrated, laughed, and mad merry,

Bestowing honors upon these brave Knights.

When each curse inflicted on man is destroyed.

Many others appear to take its place.

Today we have our own Dragons to slay,

Which leave sorrow and pain where ever they pass.

Man's cruelty to one another is our Dragon.

A more formidable beast than that of old,

Lances and swords are useless in this fight,

Where the inner self is many times the battleground.

What was needed was a new type of Knight.

One who uses intellect and reasoning as weapons.

A new brand of Knight to slay these Dragons,

To protect those from the violence it spreads.

From this need new Knights came forth,

Willing to slay these new types of Dragons.

Their weapons of choice: awareness and education,

These new Dragonslayers, these Knights of Kindness.

When the Dragons of the present rear their heads,

These Knights bring forth a vast army to battle,

Each Knight willing and eager to slay the Dragons,

Changing the world one smiling face at a time.
