My Earpiece

My friend is my earpiece, who listens to me,

Doesn't pass judgment, or make fun of me.

Understands me when happy or sad.

Is so patient when I'm angry and mad.

You listen to me when I'm happy,

When I'm excited and talk too fast.

When I brag or boast,

When I stretch the truth.

You listen to me when I'm sad,

When my mood is down and I've little to say.

When the weight on my shoulder is heavy,

When the burden of life is more then I can take.

You listen to me when you should walk away,

When I'm angry and say the wrong things,

When I talk down to you.

When I have nothing nice to say.

You listen to me even when I've nothing to say,

When all I want is piece and quiet.

When I'm meditating or just enjoying the moment.

When all in life I need is a big hug.
